WEB OF SCIENCE™ CANCELLATION

The Pratt Library along with key stakeholders within the institution have decided to terminate our access to the Web of Science™ as of 9/19/2021.
Currently, the Web of Science™ subscription is available to faculty and non-faculty employees on the Pratt Library Databases tab.

What does this mean to you?
Pratt Library will no longer offer Web of Science™ (currently found in the Databases tab). Access and/or alternative measures can be found by:

  • Faculty – Access Web of Science™ directly through UC Libraries website. For instructions go to the ‘Web of Science-UC Faculty Access‘ tab above.
  • Non-Faculty Employees – Although non-faculty no longer have access to Web of Science™ through Pratt OR UC Libraries, alternative metrics can be obtained using Scopus* through UC Libraries. For instructions see 'Scopus-UC Faculty AND Non-Faculty Access' tab above).

What do you need to do?

  • Faculty
    • Access Web of Science via UC Libraries (literature searches, citation counts, h-index).
    • Check out Scopus as an alternative resource (literature searches, citation counts, h-index).
    • Check out Dimensions in Symplectic Elements (h-index and other data).
  • Non-Faculty Employee
    • Use Scopus because Web of Science™ is no longer accessible (literature searches, citation counts, h-index).
    • Check out Dimensions in Symplectic Elements (h-index and other data).
